Microwave Engineering Corporation has long, well-established relationships with all of its major customers, both domestically and abroad, who have benefited greatly from our interdisciplinary, result-oriented philosophy. We strive to educate our customers through technical exchanges, proposals, and discussion. M.E.C. is predominantly contracted by prime contractors to design, manufacture and deliver hardware to agreed-upon specifications.

Our Product Applications

Airborne

Due to M.E.C.’s prominent position and know-how, it has participated in the system design, integration, fitting and installation of the majority of U.S. military aircraft and have been configured for electronic counter-measures, weather navigation/mapping, terrain following/avoidance, and directional finding applications. M.E.C. has also provided products in furtherance of various missile programs.

Some of our major airborne projects include: Boeing P-8A Poseidon, Rockwell B-1B Lancer, Lockheed C-130 Variants, Northrop Grumman E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, all McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle variants, and all McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet variants.

Space

M.E.C. designs, builds, and space-qualifies a variety of products and has unique expertise in multi-frequency horn antennas, multiplexers, millimeter wave components, and High-Q filters for radiometry and weather satellites. We have over 30 years of experience designing, fabricating, and testing microwave and millimeter-wave antennas, feeds, and components for space-based applications. In addition to our internal capabilities in material selection, fabrication, and RF testing, M.E.C. has developed long term relationships with environmental test laboratories to provide vibration, thermal cycling, thermal/vacuum, and launch environment testing of M.E.C.’s hardware.

Some of our major space projects include: CRISTAL, MAVEN, Juno, Jason, OSIRIS-Rex, and InSight.

Shipboard

M.E.C. provides a multitude of waveguide and waveguide high-power component product offerings in support of Naval surface search, navigation, ECM radar, and missile target illumination radar programs for U.S. and international warship platforms.

Some of our major shipboard projects include: Aegis Combat System, Phalanx Weapon System, BLQ-10 Submarine Electronic Warfare Support System, MK-86 Gun Fire Control System, RAMSES Countermeasures Radar, AN/SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare Suite, and MK-92 Guided Missile Fire Control System.

Land

M.E.C.’s capabilities for the design and manufacture of legacy military and civilian programs include waveguide, waveguide components, and high-power divider and combiner products in support of various domestic and international land-based applications.

Some of our major land-based projects include: NASA Deep Space Network Sites, Terminal Doppler Weather Radar, Joint Threat Emitter, AN/MST-T1 Mutes/Mini-Mutes Threat Emitter, and TPS-42, TPS-70, and TPS-830K Tracking Radars.
